Hes decked out in reds and blues, maintaining much the same look as he goes from one state to the next. A puzzling touch on Ironhide is a set of massive red turbine-looking things that add little to either his functionality or his appearance in either robot or SUV mode. We found Ironhide to be highly convincing as an SUV, looking like any other realistic car model. And while its not really possible to be a realistic giant robot that defends the earth, he maintains much of his car appearance in his robot state.
