It is an ideal solution for small office networks and archivers with large collections of digital media. This storage solution also includes a built-in print and digital media server. Wired and Wireless Connections at the Fastest Speeds Thanks to support for Gigabit Ethernet and 802.11g wireless, data transfers speed along at up to 1000 Mbps for a wired connection and up to 54 Mbps for a wireless connection. Two antennas ensure a good wireless connection. The StorCenter also works with 10/100 Mbps Ethernet and 802.11g is backwards compatible with 802.11b for maximum compatibility with all computers on your network. Your data will be secure from failure thanks to RAID 5 built-in, and secure from nosy neighbors thanks to WEP and WPA wireless security. The device also supports RAID 0 and RAID 1. Built-in Print Server and Media Device Server There are two USB 2.0 ports for storage expansion. You can attach a USB printer for shared access as there is a built-in print-server, or attach a UPnP AV media device (requires purchase of a UPnP compliant digital media adapter). Included is EMC Retrospect Express backup software (2 client licenses) that makes it easy to make back up files on a scheduled or continuous basis. The Iomega StorCenter is compatible with computers of different platforms and works on all networked computers in your home or office.
