La caja Griffin 2 consiste en la griffin box con los módulos SAS, CRD y CRUSADER activados para Sonyericsson Los módulos CRD y CRUSADER soportan Siemens, Panasonic, Sendo, AEG Telital, Maxon, Telital y Sharp. La caja Griffin 2 incluye además el modulo SAS (Special Adapter Switcher) que es un interruptor especial usado para arreglar muchos problemas técnicos que se presentan con los Nokia WD2 y DCT4 que usan las baterías del tipo BLC-4/5. Cuando se intentan flashear por ejemplo un 3650 y otros teléfonos móviles del tipo WD2 le pueden ocurrir todo este tipo de problemas:
La principal diferencia entre la Griffin box 1 Platinum y la Griffin box Platinum 2 es que esta ultima incluye el interruptor special (SAS) que la hace compatible con los teléfonos nuevos, y además incluye un ventilador para evitar el sobrecalentamiento de la caja que alcanza temperaturas de 70 grados. El modulo CRD incluye los cables correspondientes para liberar y quitar el código del teléfono de los siguientes modelos:
